According to Microsoft, since releasing Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) on January 6, 2005, they received feedback from customers and have made enhancements to the software based on this feedback. 
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;
Microsoft made enhancements to some of the real-time protection agents, added new threat categories, and improved stability and performance. 
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;
If you are using a previous version you can simply upgrade to the refreshed version. The version number of the refreshed version is &lt;b&gt;1.0.509&lt;/b&gt;. To check the version number, click &lt;b&gt;About Microsoft AntiSpyware...&lt;/b&gt; on the &lt;b&gt;Help&lt;/b&gt; menu of Windows AntiSpyware.

<title>02. Windows XP x64 Edition Release Candidate 2</title>

Last week Microsoft made the Release Candidate 2 (RC2) version of Windows XP x64 Edition available for public download. Windows XP x64 Edition will only run on the following processors: AMD Athlon 64, AMD Opteron, Intel Xeon with Intel EM64T support, Intel Pentium 4 with Intel EM64T support.
&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;
According to Microsoft, Windows XP x64 Edition should be finalized in March, to be widely available for its customers in April.
